Shipping the Brushed-Finish Stainless Steel Luxury Chrome Shelf Set requires specialized logistics, particularly for orders involving extended lengths. While widths starting at 40 cm are dispatched via standard residential parcel networks, any customized shelf or magazine rack exceeding 120 cm in width is automatically classified as oversized freight. These large-scale orders are transported exclusively through specialized heavy-goods carriers equipped to handle long, rigid architectural materials, ensuring the hand-brushed chrome surfaces are not bent, warped, or scratched during transit.
Due to the bespoke hand-brushing process and the custom cutting required for specific sizes up to 250 cm, standard processing times differ from our off-the-shelf items. Production and quality assurance for custom dimensions take between 5 to 7 business days before dispatch. Once handed over to our specialized freight partners, transit times typically range from 4 to 10 business days depending on your location within the contiguous United States. Customers purchasing these shelves for time-sensitive commercial events, such as art fairs or photo studio openings, must factor in a minimum lead time of three weeks.
All oversized freight deliveries containing shelves over 120 cm require an adult signature upon arrival. The courier will contact you to schedule a specific delivery window. Because these items can be heavy (designed to hold up to 20 kg, the shelves themselves possess significant mass) and awkwardly shaped, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the delivery address can accommodate large freight vehicles and that personnel are available to assist with receiving and inspecting the package at the threshold.
For instance, if a customer orders a 250 cm classic wall shelf for a coffee shop and provides an incorrect delivery address or repeatedly misses the scheduled freight delivery window, the heavy-goods carrier will hold the item at their local depot for three days. If the delivery fails completely due to customer unavailability, the oversized package will be routed back to the IB Studio manufacturing facility. In this scenario, the customer will be held fully liable for the return freight costs—which are significantly higher than standard shipping rates—as well as a 20% restocking fee, even if the original item featured free shipping.
